Stained glass repairs – Wandsworth

Stained glass Wandaworth
The right hand panel here had been completely destroyed as the burglar climbed in - there were good locks and an alarm. We removed the few remaining pieces, as well as the other 2 panels, and fitted 6.4 mm laminated safety glass into the openings – although it will break on an impact, the shards are held together by the polymer layer binding the 2 pieces of glass together - it is very difficult to penetrate.  The destroyed panel was replicated using the others as a pattern, and all 3 refitted behind the protective glass panes.  The glass is English Muffle, in clear and Champagne.

Fitted in February 2013
