Rebuilt stained glass door panel – Dulwich

As is common with age, the glass in this leaded door panel has become loose in the lead, and the lead joints broken, leaving the panel very loos and floppy.  It was removed, boarded over on the inside for security, then taken apart, the glass washed, and rebuilt into the panel with new lead.  New steel support bars were added on the inside, and the panel held to these with copper tie-wires.
